Default crash/race cage

so i have been contemplating the idea of getting a crash/race cage for my bike..the main reason for this is, im looking for the maximum protection for my bike and i dont want anything to happen to it if i were to drop it or go down...was looking at a few..but curious to see which 1 everyone thought is the best for what im looking for..also can anyone fill me in on the CONS..thanks very much!!!

i like the

con: cages only prtect the mid fairings and the belly pan. no protection for the gas tank, subframe, clip-ons, clutch/brake levers, windshield, front fairing/headlight or the rider.

you are going to face the facts if you own a bike and plan on riding it, theres always the possibility that you are going to crash and theres no guarantee that you will save the bike no matter if you have frame sliders or a cage on it

most commonly, stunters have cages.

also, whats the chances that the bike goes sliding down the road/dirt the wrong way and the cage digs in just the right way and cases your bike to flip end oaver end???

remember anything is possible with a bike, once you're off its out of your hands

need tires (take offs)? PM me
need a deal on a track day? PM me

disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,

+1

Honestly, i've always seen the cages more for controlled environment, and low speed stunting. If your just stunting on the streets then your speeds are higher and theres more shit for you to hit, making the cage useless in the event that the bike slides into a telephone pole or a car.

well as everyone said there is no such thing as maximum protection...but the FI cage has the removable loop if you want to hit some twisties or keep the loop on for ridin around...had one on my bike for a few months i liked it....but i took it off...as wolfey said shit happens and you gotta face that fact....custom make your own like a roll bar hahahha

i know that things can happen..just thought there was a possibility that there was a cage that stuck out far enough to protect most of the fairings and all the levers and cases..ah well..thanks everyone for your info!!!!appreciate everything!

When a bike starts flipping not even Chuck Norris himself can stop that.

Dont forget, you're not a baller unless you've got a 74 tooth sprocket.
