welcome..nice choice for a first bike...hell with the motor mods, ride the fugging wheels off it, learn all you can about how to ride and get some skills...after a while you will be ready for something else to ride so dont worry about it, you will make the bike faster than any motor mods will by learning to ride ....get you some good riding pants and boots to go with that gear & your good to go...

ride safe and have fun...

+1

get you some leathers & get you some track time. By far the best way to learn to corner at speed. Believe me, I put off the track for a long time & when I finally got there I realized I should have gone sooner.

Once you get your skills honed in, you'll be much faster than guys on faster bikes that think fast with their wallet & wrist...

By then you'll prob get a better bike & be miles ahead of the game.

the favorite local tracking is Jenning GP (about a 3 hour drive North). Its a motorcycle only course with 14 turns that is pretty good. Normal track days are $125 per day, but Mondays are $100. Leathers (1 or 2 piece w/zip) are reqired but are available at the track for rental...other gear needed = helmet, boots, gloves that fully cover your wrists (gauntlet).

check it out @ JenningsGP
