Default Headshake at 60mph?

My friend and I were cruising around and all of a sudden his front end starts shaking. We pulled over and looked over his tire and everything seems fine. So we continue to ride and he passes me and lets go of the bars and I can see them shaking. So we kept it under 50mph and rode to my house. We checked the wheel weights and the tire again and everything is fine. The bike is an 06 GSXR1000. What do you guys think the problem is?

Thanks,
Frankie

check the torque on the steering head bearings, double check the tires, check the suspension settings.

If its just shaking when he lets go, *it may be normal "deceleration wobble" although it may be very slight, it's there on some bikes.

If its doing that constantly, then something definitely changed recently. good luck pinpointing where it is.

Its definitely something new and not normal. I'll tell him to check the torque of everything.

Try rotating the tires. Move the back one up front and the front one back, but be sure to turn them around and run them backward to even out the wear. I am a MMI trained mechanic, trust me.

I had wornout tires do that to me once...
I believe the same happened to Brandon a while back on his RC & it went away with new tires.

I'd make sure the rear tire isn't misalinged somehow...

If all else fails, go muddin on the Si again...

The front is worn pretty bad so maybe thats why The rear is straight, we had just tightened the chain after we got back to my moms house and it still does it.
