That's the sign of too much pressure in the tire, The tire is holding on the street for a while, until the heat makes it's way into the tire, then the tire is over inflated and won't hold a large enuf contact patch, and the outside is melting away.

Suspension setup can help in keeping the tire in contact with the road, but only ir the tire is at it's operating temp and proper pressure.

haha, well i should say out of about 1/2 the people i never see anyone doing it. i can keep up with the lead group through the turns, but it was impossible to keep up with anyone on the straights...so most of my NR's were with the back half of the group.

its been a while, but i specifically remember dropping the pressure down to about 25psi. the bike was fine at 60-65, i could string them together all day, but when i really began to push is when they started to give, i dont think it was a pressure issue personally, but im not saying i know everything about racing a bike either so it could have been, but i thought i took the proper measures and it was just the fact im lacing 4 right hand long turns together at 80-90mph consecutively with maybe 2-3 seconds of cooldown at the top of the overpass.
