Default riders at gandy and a how to without a stand?

i was driving my grandfathers truck tonight near gandy (sat night) and 12 bikes grouped together next to me at the 4th st light. amongst them were 2 girls riding and one had a new blue gixxer with race rails. i wanted to ask where she got them and how much but didnt get a chance before the light turned. anyone know this bike by chance or know some of the groups that ride out to gandy on sat nights??

next is the tech question:
ive taken my bike apart a few weeks ago because my chain turned to shit so i decided to do body work and paint while i am waiting for my new sprockets and chain.
i am in the process of trying to paint my wheels but i have no stands. what would be the best way, if any, for me to take my wheels off for paint without stands?
thanks for any advice

wow.

well.. i'd say screw some hooks in the ceiling of your garage, then get some straps and get one end on the bike and the other on the hook. Get the kind you can ratchet up if you decide to do this... it'll probably be easier.

if you dont have actual fork/swing arm stands, you can use reg. jack stands, but not recommended

you can use them under the spools on the rear and they work fine, the front may be a little trickier

need tires (take offs)? PM me
need a deal on a track day? PM me

disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,

they look like a frame slider with cage incorporated into it. i guess so if you low side at the track, you might save it a little bit.
