My bikes have always been a bit under 4qts........

 

I put almost 4 in mine the other day. Was pretty shocked. Didnt know it held that much oil.

 

I put in 2.2 qts, went halfway up the sight glass. Started it up, level went down, I put in another .3 qts which totalled it out to 2.5 qts and after running it is still only at 2.5 qts.

 

I still haven't taken it out untill I verify 100% that's the right amount of oil. Don't need to be blowing this thing up right before I sell it. haha

 

go to the service department at your zukie dealer. they will tell you the exact amount you need. its not like you have the only gixxer 600 in the world. the people at gixxer.com probably know thier shit when they tell you what to put in it. if you ride your bike with 2.5 quarts your gonna blow your shit up. 3.5 should do the job.

 

Yeah... this doesn't make me feel too happy...

I want to buy a non-blown up Knight Rider bike....

2.6qts, thats what my manual says and the 600 and 750 take the same amount.

And Chris... trust me... I'm not riding this bitch till I know for a fact it has the right amount of oil in there. That's the last thing I need right before I'm trying to sell it. "Yeah it's an '07... Runs good needs rod bearing"

 

Ok this says with filter change: 2500 ml (2.6/2.2 US/Imp qt), Frankie says his manual says 2.6 qts. So I'm sticking with 2.6. Even though I'm still going to call the dealership. Either Suzuki just has a small oil pan, or you guys are way overfilling your shit.
