blah i see this thread going nowhere... people are always going to do what they want... if you wanna be a rebel and break the law go for it... if u rather just cruise and get all the attention from the females next to you in a car because they can actually keep up with u... go for it... like stated above theres a time and place to do everything and most of the riders down threads... well they chose the wrong time to do what they were most likely doing... not all but more than half...

if you own a bike and do the speed limit so what...its the feeling you get when you have the wind beating against you with nothing surrounding you....its a rush all in itself...

hell ask anyone i ride with im not a crazy rider...i do speed limit obey laws...use my blinkers etc. but when im feeling out of line ill open it up when its the proper time...IE on weekends on a back windy road...but going up that road...all laws are obeyed...

if you hate the cops so much why ride like a complete jackass breaking laws weaving in and out of traffic or revving your bike every god damn chance you get (i understand for most non fuel injected bikes...but most of us have modern fuel injection...)

so obeying the laws is a quick way not to deal with the po's. shit save your fun for when its the proper time...hell it makes that much sweeter like its a fucking crack addiction.

i know i love the feeling of looking next to me and see a car and with the flick of my wriest the car is a spec in my mirror.

but honestly who cares....all in all obey the laws you wont get hasseled and save the spirited runs for the proper time.

end of story.

I got a bike so I could get out and ride. I plan to have my first track day in early July, I don't think there are many moving violations I can get out there. If I mess around on the street and break laws, I expect to get a ticket and have considered the consequences beforehand. So you gotta man up and accept what you had coming.

Most laws are made to protect people. Not everyone that gets on a bike can be considered a capable rider. How many accidents have you seen/heard of where people are riding outside of their experience level. It's a pretty safe bet to say riding outside of their experience level will also include riding outside of legal speed limits and what not.

If everyone were a perfect rider/driver and paid attention to the road instead of running their dick suckers on a cell phone or applying makeup, shaving, etc. then we wouldn't really need traffic laws. That will never happen so we have the laws to punish the idiots that may some day kill your mother, father, significant other, son, daughter, etc. because they're too "cool" to obey the laws. Pretty simple if you ask me.

Is anyone else here sick of it?
Wow! I had no idea how much of a retard you are until this post. I follow damn near every traffic law when i ride. I enjoy going the speed limit and just cruising. I will go to the track when I get more seat time and give my bike hell there. As you said these bikes are made for tracks, so I'll beat the piss out of it there. On the street I drive like I want to live. Just because you have the power doesn't mean you have to use it all the time. See you in a rider down thread.

you do realise "messing around on the back road" is the same as if you where doing it on us19 in traffic to a dick cop and you go to jail just the same.

so, yes... you break the law, and if you have a unlucky day you will go to jail.

so how is that "i obey the law" ?

Messing around on a back road is much more responsible than flying down 19. I ride the speed limit around town. I am very very picky about where I speed on the bike. On back roads you have less chance of injuring yourself or others.

Being willing to accept responsibility for your actions and succumbing to police injustice are not the same thing. I'll pull over when caught fooling around but I won't have my rights trampled on either. I've been in more than one argument with police who were in the wrong and I'm sure that it will happen again too.

Acting like a jackass and then complaining when the authorities treat you like a jackass is indicative of a maturity level on par with my four year old son. You aren't some hero of bikers' rights protecting the world from bad cops on a power trip, your just a spoiled child unwilling to face the consequences of his actions.

If you want to deal with injustice, then educate yourself so that you can tell the difference between when a cop is out of line and when they're just doing their jobs. If you just want to run from the consequences from your actions then so be it, but don't expect to earn any respect in the process. You're just yet another selfish windbag.

You know there is a diff between braking the law getting caught & calling cops a dick...

And braking the law getting cought & admiting that you got caught playing red handed to another human being ON THE JOB!

If you don't understand the difference, you are one narrow minded, selfish moron.

I may not be law abiding all the time... I just have enough common sense to publicly not make an ass of myself by bitchin that cops are dicks cause I got caught braking a law a damn well was aware of...
