Default Best local place to buy helmet?

I don't have time to order one online, where's the most cost effective place to get a bike helmet? Something like a $200 scorpion.. I have a feeling dealers like Barneys etc have some ridiculous markup.. if not, let me know!

Barneys in St Pete have Scorpions in stock, Euro Cycles on Gunn Hwy, Cycle Gear has helmets, Motorsports of Tampa, Cahills of Tampa and Z-hills,

ummm most motorcycle accessory shops have helmets in stock

theres not a really big mark up, you are going to find the same prices online as you do in the store (its a law that protects the local guys from ebay sellers, now days no matter if you buy 1 part or 10000 parts there is a cap on what you can sell something for or you will lose your rights to be a distributor for that company) unless its used

need tires (take offs)? PM me
need a deal on a track day? PM me

disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,

Go to Cycle Gear on Fletcher Ave. Talk to Ariq (I think is how is name is spelled, sounds like eric) really knows what he's talking about. I was just in there a couple days ago. I saw helmets ranging from about $200 and up.

Cycle Gear sucks for Scorpion, they can order them but have no Scorpion in stock.

The best place for Scorpion I been to is Barneys on Gandy & Gulf coast on 19 in NPR.

hm, not so much.. theres a big difference in price between the local dealerships and online prices, not sure for Scorpion but thats surely the case with Suomy, Arai, Shoei, etc.. I'm looking to purchase the Arai RX-7 Corsair Nakano Shuriken Grn helmet, locally they have it posted for MSRP of nearly $700 while I'm finding it online for a little over $500 shipped.. depending on what helmet your buying you can certiantly save money by shopping online.. for a less expensive helmet your savings may only be $20 or so, and may not be worth the wait but I'm willing to wait a few days to save $200..
