triumph daytona 675
sorry drew but i was asked to let everyone know... no hate against you just the service and company of the bike....
my friend has an 06 675 and he loves the bike to hell but there are just to many problems with the bike. he has asked me to inform you all to beware of the 675. it has been in the shop way to many times (ran out of fingers and toes to count on) and problems just keep popping up left and right. he bought a warrenty with it but what good is a warrenty if it doesnt cover anything?? he also wanted me to inform you about their service there. its not good he said he doesnt like it at all (thats why i bought a kawie, service is great) now with all this said, he has to buy a new clutch, brakes, and throttle bodies (which isnt covered in the warrenty) and he only has about 7k miles on it... this is not a bashing post in any means it is just to inform other motorcyclist that want to get a 675 to beware because you might have a lot of problems and not get treated the right way.

Not to sound like a dick, but he has the option to take it some where else. Also do you think the rider might have a small part in the way bike last?
Does ANY warrenty cover a clutch plates and brakes? I dont know of one.

He brought his bike into the shop with a clutch slipping around 4,500RPMS. Once the bike was torn down they notice that the clutch plates are fried. He is also ready for his 8,000 miles service which includes adjusments on the throttle bodies.
Oh he hasnt tried anthor dealership, which I would.

I had to change my tires at 5k miles...why didn't my manufactures warr cover that....Hey I ran out of gas the other day and called my service department-they said my warranty wouldn't cover it and laughed at me~~~ I'm confused
That sounds like 1 problem, and 1 maintance. The problem could be defective parts or pour riding skills. With the miles I suspect the later.

Who is bashing Rales? I am new here and I don't understand how people can start bad mouthing other hard working people without understanding what they are saying. All wear and tear items are the responsibilty of the rider. Not the Tech who works on the bike~not the Stealership where it was purchased. There are some very good dealerships out there and some bad ones reguardless~ they don't cover wear and tear parts. They also don't go to their buddies and tell them to badmouth the end user who dosen't know how to maintain thier ride
After 7k miles he wants new brakes & clutch... WTF is he smoking, no body EVER replaces parts that wear out. He is an idiot if he think they should replace that, what's next? Free oil changes, air filters, Tires & bike wash? Ask him if he also expects a free continental breakfast... what a dope...
As for the throtle-bodies... why do they need replaced?
