Default HID install question

So… I ordered a “motorcycle HID kit” from ebay that upon receipt I found is designed for a car. This model has a built in igniter/starter so all I need to do is extend the bulb pair. However, the wire is rather unique with it’s abnormally thick rubbery casing.

Can I use the existing headlight wiring to extend this or should I run a new thicker gage pair?

For anyone who’s interested, I bought a h7 6000k for $107 w/shipping from: eBay Seller: nissangtrpower: hid, Parts Accessories, eBay Motors items on eBay.com=

They take a full day to respond to emails but seem to have just about everything in stock.

u dont need all that mess... you dont have a car cpu... so ur going to cut it all off than splice the connection for the bulb and for the balace together... it'll look like this... :

to the right is all the junk you dont need... to the left is only thing you need... now installing check your fuses, make sure their 10amps or higher... they should be.. plug and play and than do some cutting for the wires to come outside of the light fixture... any questions let me know.

*edit** i would of never bought HIDS from ebay there is a big chance they might be fake.. if you want HIDS let me know i can get them..

Congrats!

Your gonna love them!

It "should" be plug & play.

Sometimes you need to splice a connector for the bulb.... no biggie.
Sometimes you need to extend to length of the wires between the ballast / ignitor and the bulb....
Not the end of the world, but may force the need for a relay to ensure you maintain 12 volts.
I believe, the rubber shroud works to pretect the circuit from interuptions...

When and where are you going to do the install?

Let me know if you need help.

The two prong looking wires at the top right of the picture you posted, you connect those two prongs into the harness that normally plugs into your stock bulb....

Agreed.

That's your power supply.

I dont think this one's fake... I tested it on my car battery and it's much brighter than the fake ones. The ballast & starter came in a weatherproof stainless case... not too shabby.
