I use "MOTOREX CHAIN CLEAN 611", it works better than any WD-40(as is made specifically for) grease drips off instantlly. Then apply "SILKOLENE Pro Chain" (to protect).
*Results are best when chain is warm. Wash bike, ride around the block, then clean chain.

i call bs on the whole WD-40 thing....i have discussed this at length on other forums and have found MANY riders with the same experience...I use only WD-40 for cleaning and lubricating....ive used it on every type of chain (x,e,exo, seal and unsealed) in dirt riding/racing and street riding....NEVER HAD A CHAIN PROBLEM....EVER......i have 14K miles on my ZX-10's stock chain (EK 525) and have used WD-40 only for lubing....rings are fine, chain wear is normal (actually slightly above average)...

man that shit is good fur almost anything....

I'm willing to bet the chain TurboKaw uses probably doesn't have O-rings. Non-O-ring chains are much lighter and cheaper, however, they don't last nearly as long.

you are correct. But I still wanted to hear the "myths" on why not to use it. I have soaked all types of o-rings in WD-40 and never saw it break down. Guess it is time for an experiment, gonna spray some in a cup and dump in some o-rings and see what happens. Gotta beleive if the o-ring in the chain can not handle WD-40 it cannot handle the heat from being run at 160 mph on a lot of bikes.......

and if someone's chain lasts a few years then they need to sell the bike and get a hover-round or something along those lines
