Stay away from Motorsports of Tampa
They changed my oil about a month ago... I received a concerning voice mail from one of their mechanics saying "were not sure if the drain plug is fully tightened". I hope this isn't common practice.
Also, I know of 3 people including myself that have brought their bikes in for service and received calls alerting them of a nail/screw in the rear tire... I have reason to believe motorsports put it there.
Who here owns/uses a reputable shop in Tampa? I need a new one apparently.

Powersports/Motorsports left me with a loose drain plug on my F3 about 6 or 7 years ago. Luckily it wasn't that loose and I caught it in time. I DREADED the day I had to take my 954 in to them to get a recall done.

Elite Performance on Gunn Hwy. is the only place I'll take my bike (if I can't do it myself).

that sucks man but honestly are you a mechanic? You really should have gotten down and inspected things on the engine (it doesnt hurt anything to look) to see if you could find anything. On a motorcycle when your life is dependent on everything on a motorcycle functioning correctly its imperitive you find problems with your bike and inspect them before it gets worse. Had you been riding i275 through malfunction junction you may not be typing this.

thats shitty, but if i smelled oil i would be looking at that shit as well, and prolly not riding till i figured it out. Yea you SHOULDNT have to check over someone elses work, but "if you want something done right, do it yourself" and if you cant you better not be afraid to check it out.
Yep, that was a real dyno. Most 954's dyno low to mid 130's (stock).

its doesn't matter if hes a mechanic or a CEO of suzuki, their job is to do it right. i hate it when shop, or any places that doing their job by judging their customers. i mean do i have to be their frequence best customer to get my services right? no fuck that u get ur bitch ass back there and do it right or eles i'll complaint to the district and sue ur ass because this is amerika
Here is a piece of advice for EVERYONE on this forum. If you run into a situation similar to this where the shop did work that led to some type of "casualty," I can almost 100% gurantee that every large shop/dealership will have "casualty insurance" and you can make a claim against them.
All you need to do is ask for their insurance information and file a claim with their carrier. Believe me, they do not want you to do this and will go ape shit! If they refuse to give you the insurance info, then get a lawyer, but in all honesty, I doubt a lawyer will get involved unless it involves bodily injury, because that is where the money is at for lawyers, not property damage claims.
FYI - don't put up with shops like this because they will continue to do the same thing until people put them in check by either busting their ass for their negligence or not doing business with them anymore and putting them out of business.
