Default My new-ish bike

Just bought an '04 Triumph Thruxton, with 3K miles. It's been well maintained and as I understand it, was the first Thruxton in Florida.
I really like it, it certainly has style. I've always liked the cafe racers from the 60's and this has that kind of look to it. I know it's not really the type of bikes most of you have that post here, but it's what I like.
Sort of yesterday's sport bike.
I took a rider's course and have my endorsement now, and i've been taking it pretty easy around the neighborhood until I feel more confident with it, as this is my first bike.

Thanks for all the encouragement!
-Ben

a previous owner drilled out the mufflers, I'm getting aftermarket ones anyway.

That is a really cool looking bike!

Once you get more seat time and are comfortable riding, you should come on some rides.

I'd definitely like to see your bike in person!

BTW, I think the exhaust looks good as it is now

Triumph calls it a 900, but here are the real specs:

Type Air-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin, 360 degree firing interval
Capacity 865cc
Bore/Stroke 90 x 68mm
Compression Ratio 9.2:1
Fuel System Twin carburettors with throttle position sensor and electric carburettor heaters
Ignition Digital - inductive type

More info at: http://www.triumph.co.uk/usa/4553.aspx

I've really enjoyed it so far. Its a head turner. Definitely different than most bikes on the road. I just love the old school styling. Thanks for the props.
