Sick bike... that thing is just too cool... Ducati has some similar retro cafe racers that are just awesome with all the ohlins bits on them...

I paid $4700 for it from a private owner. I think that's a pretty good deal...i've seen some '04s with low miles fetching $5500-6K and more!

I really liked the Ducati 1000s "cafe racer" too, you guys have that yellow one out front of St. Pete Powersports. Of course the 1000S is quicker, handles better, but more expensive....and in my opinion doesn't really have the style the Thruxton has. The Triumph is just a bit more nostalgic. And I have always had the fascination with old Bonnevilles since I was a kid. I just loved the look and attitude of them, so the Thruxton was a good fit for me.

Not that I'll ever do this, but it does look cool:
Thruxton Cup Challenge

What? Are you kidding me, come on some runs with us and after you get some more seat time you will be doing that way on the North run in a safe and controlled manner!

HAHA...maybe you are right. One day, but no time soon. I think they do one of these Thruxton events at Daytona. I'd like to go and check it out.

Now in its second season, the Thruxton Challenge has proven to be an exciting addition to the AHRMA roadrace program, featuring close competition and attracting a variety of racing legends as participants. Doug Polen rode a Thruxton at AHRMA's Daytona 2005 event, and Gary Nixon and Jay Springsteen were regulars in the series.
