Default buying a new bike and i got some questions

ight every bike i have owned up to now has been used so i have never dealt with a dealer..

anyway i am looking at a zx10r, it seems buying a bike is different than a car, meaning it seems to me that the price isnt flexable like a car is.???also does anyone know who will give me the best deal out there?

Bikes are much like cars when it comes to negotiating for purchase.

MSRP is a "suggestion", not a law.

Check the auto trader.
Some dealerships tend to be more open with thier pricing and negotiating.
While others try to play hard-ball.

I personally, would vomit if I ever paid sticker for a vehicle.

Negotiation is fun, do your research, plant your seeds, have fun and get the best deal you can.

One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”

I've see threads on the zx10 boards and people say what they paid and where the bought the bike at. Can't remember the site right now I have it saved at home.

ZX10r.net I think

When they greet you tell them you are buying a bike today... they like to hear that.

Once you decide what you are getting (including gear & accs, if you want), ask for a price... don't like it ask for a card & tell then you will call him if you can't find a better deal by the end of the day\week... You may get a positive reaction or not... go to all the local dealers you can... don't settle on anyones price...

You just have to be very convincing that you are a potential deal, cause lots of dreamers fly through there, and usually a high price gets them running.

The cycle trader is indeed a good place to shop around because usually GA\TN & NC have left over bikes in crates at killer discounts....

When I bought mine, I went to 4 different dealers and got the run around from all 4. I ended up at Pasco Motors in Zephyrhills. They beat everyones price by $1500 out the door! and yes that was on a brand new bike.

Crystal river has the best prices....not sure if they do Kawi's or not....Definatly check the cycle trader first, look through the colored adds in the middle as well, not just the kawi section. Good luck, love the 06's
