ok so i guess were not thinking about a truck anymore but rather an suv. More comfort and stuff for the kids in the back plus easier to load bikes on and off a trailer. so were thinking about a
toyota rav 4 ive heard nothing but good things about them, but im wondering if power could be an issue they only have 127 hp and ill be tacking on a trailer and 2 360lb bike so would that be an issue you think?

if you get a toyota ,get a highlander...since it is close to the rav but much nicer and tougher especially with the 4wd...not sure if it's in your range but my girl drives one and its sweet and can tow and has mre room than the 4runners

My 99 Silverado works wonders with any type of bike....Basically it's what you can afford. Any truck will do the job unless you have 44 inch tires on it then you'll have to get a 30 foot ramp but it's whatever. Buy one allready and take pics!

ha thx cammo lol but it might be a lil while ya know i wana do some reserach and such.
the rav's are cheap like a 2000 for 8k or less which is really somthing we are looking for somthing not to old but cheap for the time being, then i figure about 1k for a trailer? maybe less
is 127 hp enough though do you think?

I have a F150 for my bike and it fits fine.......

So Im assuming it would be more intelligent to buy consistantly from every vehicle manufacturer and figure out which produces more lemons.

Default best truck?

my 620 h.p. SRT10?

Actually, I just also bought a '06 Toyota Tacoma like the one Dogbone pictured on the 1st page. NICE truck! I'm getting 20 mpg (vs. 7 mph on SRT10). 237 hp, 8 less hosepower than my old V8 Tundra. 6500 lbs. towing capacity. 13 cup holders (that is what sold me!!). Yes, you can ramp your bike on the Quad cab with short bed but you will have to leave the gate open. $27k vs. $55k. Go test one out and your will be sold!!

well ive been researching and so has the wife cuz the money cleared and the other car is officially sold.

i think were going ot go with a rav4 2001 +, they have 140 hp for the 2.0 l 4 banger and 160 with the 2.4, so i feel much better about towing somthign with either of those as the extra lil horse power and torque should help.
So now we just gotta find one and then im going to get a trailer

ford makes a great truck, so does chevy, its basically like arguing over an r6, 636, or gsxr 600, all basically the same but have their downfalls. I have an 00 dakota quad cab (4 full doors) good on gas hauls my bike w/ tailgate down plus hook the trailer up and haul more bikes. plus i can cary more people/cargo w the extra two doors
