'06 ZX10R and Nitrous questions.
Ok. So call me crazy, but after I break in the '06 10R, I want to slap some nitrous on it. Nothing toooooo crazy. Somewhere inbetween 25-50HP shot. I've been looking at all the nitrous kits out there and I seem to be coming across more dry kits than wet. I always heard wet is safer. What are your opinions on wet and dry and what would you go with if I decide for say, 25hp, and 50hp.
I'm pretty sure that 25hp isn't going to hurt the motor but what about 50? Is that pushing it too much? Thanks for any help guys.

wet cost more... u need 2 of everything unlike dry...
dry is like 1-2 jets in the airbox/air tube thingy and ur kinda done.. haha
might wanna call a shop that does alot of spary/turbo bikes... like johny turbos shop..

the later in the rpms you spray the more spray it can handle. it all has to do with the total consumption ratio of nitrous to air. i would definately recommend getting some sort of means of tuning, pull a few degrees of timing and richen the mix up 20% for a 50 dry shot.
direct port is the safest. it doesnt allow for fuel puddling in the intake like a wet kit may do and it lets you tune each cylinder individually, as not every cyclinder will be the same across the board.

Yes Matt you are crazy! Are you adding a seven gear and gonna try to wheelie in 7th too? Only reason why I say don't do is because if something happens and the dealership finds out you have nitrous your SOL but it's not bike. I am gonna ask to ride it though
Decide on a color yet?
everyone on the zx10 boards I've seen run dry kits.. use a pc3 to fatten it up and then tend to blow there bikes up a few months later...
from the car world...I've always thought dry was junk, unless you have a dfi setup that handles the extra fuel... thats why when i direct port kit came around for blue bike, thats what i went with.
i wont be putting it on my 10 thou... to hard to rebuild when you break it... I'm trying to learn from tom's turbo build up. a slip on is all I'm doing...ever!!
plus there is just no good place to put the bottle, mine hangs off the side on the 97 and i'm sure as hell not riding the 10 like that.

Dealership said if they install it, it doesn't void the warranty. Which is why I was considering this.

Black all the way dude. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm just starting to research. I was thinking an RC51 w/ nitrous would be a nice little sleeper also. Oh well. I got a month and a half before insurance pays this damn thing off and I can go pick up another one. Plenty of time to decide.

ummm.. get that in writing because i'm going to say if you blow up your bike on the spray. there's no way in hell warranty is covering it.
if you read the fourm's you'll see they don't even like to cover shit that should be covered under warranty..lol.
green, yellow or black... ummm yeah, going to have to say black is the color.

Black is the way to go... And as for nitrous... why? You drag racing??? it won't do you any good in the bends, and if you want a chicken strip special, why not a zx14?
I know the 10 looks better, but there is some wisdom in using the right tools for the job.

And chicken strips? What are those? I haven't seen chicken strips in a long time.
