see these were the things i was trying to get up in the open... jennings is like a 2 mile course though, and quite wide from what i understand (never been, so dont know 1st hand). i was aiming for a more tight cornering course, something that would favor the smaller bikes and give them a more equal chance with the bigger bikes.

and if you read my one post, i already took into consideration the noise ordinances. and i am not looking to make a MotoGP course...im looking to have a place where the locals can come and tear it up for a couple hours, in a safe fun environment thats within a very close riding/driving distance...not 8 hour round trip, and a 750 dollar weekend.

go to jennings its not that big its a flat fast front half and a tight technical back half. if the track is too narrow all the speed you will carry will launch you right off the track. jennings is a little wider then a two lane road. maybe 2 1/2 lanes.....its all about corner speed not hp. thats why duc's can keep up 160+hp I4's.

anyway its one of those dreams......if you never win the lottery of come into a buttload of money it will always be just a dream.

If you can find 30 - 40 acres in Florida for $250K I'll buy it!

Sounds like a great idea... needs financing (investors) though.

Good luck.

its still not uncommon to find land at 4-6k/acre, suprisingly. granted alot of it has shot up to 15-20k, my boss bought roughly 1000 acres up near cedar key at 2500 an acre about 7-8 years ago...god knows what its worth now.

i was on the look for 30-40 acres of land out in the parrish area. undeveloped of course. i think it'd be great to have a track so much closer then jennings, especially for the south guys, cause we all like taking turns, its probably why most of us still have bikes. i've just been trying to work out the finer details to it all before i go on a mad hunt on land. like hospital inthe vicinity, rural area as to not disturb others, and of course, enough room for some run off and what the insurance expendatures will be.

im in parrish now.... good luck finding sumthing out here... this place is buildin up fast

You make enough backfire noise with one pipe....you don't need two.
