The 3 step rule is a myth. The only law in florida to carry in your car is that it must be, "Securely encased." Look it up:

Most police officers do believe there's a 3 step rule though, even my cop friends. That being the case, it doesn't hurt to holster it and stick it in a glove box or trunk. It'll get thrown out of court otherwise, but who wants that hassle? Easiest scenario is to spend the $150 to get a concealed permit. I personally wouldn't carry without one.

C'mon, that's less than I paid for it before I fixed it all up!

yup...i paid the $150 and $70 for an underarm holster. Nobody can tell, and after a while you don't even notice it.
