Suggestions on First Bike
I can tell you one thing it is a real good Idea to take a motorcycle safety class before you start riding some people will laugh BUT if I did not take one I would not be writing this too you right now NO JOKE the one @ CFCC in ocala is very good. And most riders will tell you it is not yourself you need to worry about it is all the Fu--ing people around you that you need to worry about. I am not trying to talk you out of getting a bike just giving you something to think about ......

There has to be a bike that people love just 4 its reliability and I guess other attributes?
why are you getting a bike if you have talked yourself out of it before?
count the rider down threads and re-evaluate your decisions.....cause your a squid your going to crash (its going to hurt) its part of riding.
when you put that helm (always wear your freaking helm, no you dont look cool with it strapped to your bike, and it wont keep you alive when its in your house or garage) on its your life and you only get 1....and yes its not always going to be your fault (not that you were 0%neglagent(sp?)) but there was somthing you could have done to avoid it...not trying to lecture put i'm on borrowed time and at the rate i keep reading bikers getting hurt/killed i get skeptikal(sp??) of just what is going through people's heads when they say "i'm looking at getting a bike."

Heh, it always starts that way, and then you get your first bike. As far as which bike to buy, buy what is comfortable, and buy what you like. Happiness is essential. Good luck!

If you don't have a burning desire for a streetbike and just want to try out motorcycling, go start in the dirt. Croom is just a quick ride up I-75.
Get a lil utility trailer and haul it behind the Alero.
I can't emphasize enough how much dirt experience will help you if you eventually make the switch to street riding.

One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”
