I have a nail in my rear too. Honestly I wouldn't plug or patch it. The chance of blowout percentage increases dramatically. Just buy a new one, and keep the nailed one for a burn out or something.

i have pluged a tire many times. And i have not had a problem once. But my tires never last longer then 1-2k miles max.

Its not going to blow.... it will be a slow leak.... plenty of time to notice it.

I'll plug it for you if you want to ride the bike over to the USF area.

go to advance auto parts, buy the plug kit with the red plugs for close to 10 bucks, and get a tube of the rubber cement thats right near it. Pull the nail out, reem the whole put some glue on the plug and put it almost all the way in. Leave about half an inch to an inch of the plug sticking out. Twist the handle and yank it out. Do NOT cut the plug off flush with the tire. If you do that the plug will push in and you will have to redo. It will be a little bump for a few miles but will eventually dry up and level out and you wont be able to see it at all. I had an f4I with 3 plugs in my back tire, the first plug i put in within the first 100 miles of the tire. I have never ever had a plug come out of a tire. I hit 16X with 3 plugs in the tire. Do that and forget about it. I guarantee it.
