how old are you? I'm old also...my bike is new though. Should make about the same HP as mine, so a good frame of reference. set a day when I'm off I'll test ride it for you. But, $1500 for your first street bike (a 750 even) and you can beat it up.....SOLD! pm me and we can try to link up.

I agree with all of the above. Snook your not a bad guy, that's just what person buying their first bike needs an experienced rider to go with them to see what the seller is trying to con the newbie into.

In all honesty, a 750 will not be suffice for a beginner bike. I wouldn't go anything less than a 1000cc motorbike, contrary to what the jealous haters might tell you. I tried a 600 and it was a girl bike, then I stepped up to the Busa Beast and discovered what REAL riding is. Go for the 1000, and if you feel a little jumpy, give the Hayabusa 1300 a go 'round. It may cost a little more, but it will be better in the long run because you don't have to buy like 16 bikes to 'climb the ladder'.

Leave it to Chode. Always thinking ahead.

There's nothing girlie about a 600, but to get a 636 or a 675, that just shows your trying to make up for your own short comings.

650 excluded because it's a V-twin.

That's crazy to spend that kind of money on that kind of bike...especially for a first that's gonna be dropped inevitably. That's way to nice of a bike to beat up, and if he's only been on a dirt bike, a 750 would suffice prob perfectly for getting comfortable on, then upgrade.
