I am not sure if there were any functional changes between the '03 and the '04.
The are great bikes.
My guess is, if you liked the '03, you will like the '04.

i had an 04 it has a mild motor upgrade i believe Ti valves/springs.... a little down on power compared to the other 04's(stock) but with a few mods it will leap frog everything in the 600 class... but why 600-->600 get a 750 if you like the way it looks...cause you can never get enough power...the only difference between 600 n 750 is the bore and stroke and color schemes
if you want to get another 600 wait i think the 2006 GSXR600 is going to be a screamer....

suzuki's claiming 130hp to match the 2006R6....04 friends 750 made 120ish at wheels.... i'd be excited if the 2006 GSXR600 made 115whp
