Default how fast can a R6 be made?

Hey i had posted earlier asking about a R1 as a first bike, and got allot of not positive feedback to say the least. Now the reason why i was leaning away from the R6 is because i was afraid of getting tired of it to quickly. I was just wondering how much room for improvement is left in a R6? also im talking about the newer fuel injected ones. everyone said that if you get tired of it just take it to the twisties, but just wondering how much more can you get out of a 600cc in the straight line performance.

because its not a 2.0 liter like a car, its a 0.6.... hahah

well i saw a post awhile ago where some mag got an 04 r6 to run 9.9s

but this was a bad ass rider, geared down and i think they lowered and straped it.

drag racing a bike is all about the rider

An R6 with basic mods setup to dragrace can runs 9's with a good rider. With a good launch, a stock R6 can break into the 10's.

you dont really need a bike if you are worried about straight line,
but a drag bike and take it to the track

600 are all around fun bikes. Have you ever been on two wheels? Trust me, a 600 will be great for some time. I would not recommend going to a liter bike. I dont own a bike but ride friends 600s and they are good enough for anyone from beginners to advanced riders. Ride a bike before you speculate. A good rider can break into 10's, and that is NOT slow by any standard. A great rider with simple bolt ons will pull high 9s. Now you can break into the motor and turbo blah blah but its all how much you want to spend. 600s are for taking corners, liter bikes go all out straight line.

yeah dude, i think you just want it for a cool factor. trust me being dead, or hurt, or missing a limb(like me) isnt cool. you have to ask your self, if you are man enough to accept what ever happens? i have never cried about missing a leg, i have been down from the shit it holds me back from doing, but never over it. If i coulg go through it all over again, and know what would happen, i would. it depends on how much love you have for it. but trust me, the newer 600s are just nuts, compared to the mid 90s liter bikes. get a 600 and see if you like it, remeber, a wrong twist of the throttle, can change the rest of your life
