Default 2000+ Honda F4i

ive recently started looking online and cycle trader for a bike. (thinking about selling my waverunner for one). now i dont really know a lot about bikes so maybe you guys can help me out.
What's catching my eye is the honda F4i. for example im looking at one right now, 2002 CBR 600 F4i, 17k, immaculate. for $4950. that seems like a really good price and is about average of what they all are going for.
my question is, is this a good beginner bike? i definately dont want something: A) expensive or B) too powerful.
share any info you wish

i've ridden an f4i for nearly 3 yrs now. Can't kill 'em if you tried. I love the bike and I think it fits me really really well. I'm 6' 155lbs. It's got plenty of power to get you speeding tickets left and right and can run the twisties with the best of them.

I hAVE AN '02 f4i and it's awesome....Im 6'1 200lbs and fits just right....The price tag on it could be lower b/c of the miles on it...and make sure if its still under warranty or if its not to check the Cam Chain Tensioner. It goes bad on these f4i's other than that its cool...if you want more power i'll sell you my Busa that sits in my storage b/c this 600 does the job
