krypto makes a loop that you can either form into the ground while pouring cement, or anchor down into the ground. that and a good thick cable will deter anyone looking for a really quick steal. cables and chains can be broken, but it slows the thief down, and theyll probably move on to the next bike.

If you get LoJack (or a LoJack type device) you'll atleast be able to track your stolen bike and get some sweet, sweet pay back.

Do we really have to fight over who uses the back brake or not?
Do you have to argue over stupid pointless shit on the Internet?

but from your description, it wasn't cabled to anything. if a thief is planning on throwing a bike into the back of a van, a bike with disc locks is the same as a bike without one. but if it's attached to something, and it will take 5-10 minutes of work to get it unattached, most thieves would rather just pick up the bike that isn't tied down.

the cable is my most important piece of security. i don't always make sure to cover the bike, but i ALWAYS keep it cabled down when i'm not riding.

buy a pit or nasty doberman and chain it to your bike

Seriously, I never even worry about it, I don't have these problems. I always park near the entrances of public places and at home, I leave it in the driveway with the key in the ignition sometimes. haha. It cool though cause the dog will get to them before they can get to the bike and then comes the Glock 26.

Hey man , heres an idea for yah , Im a mechanic at tire kingdom , and right next to me is a Uhaul rental and storage.. theres a guy on a silver/black gsxr that drives his car in , parks it , takes his bike out after work and on the weekends , locks it back up when hes done and goes home.... my bikes still in the shop but im seriously considering the idea seeing i dont have a garage and my bikes undergoing a custome "eye catching" paint job...

I use a cover for my ducati when it's parked in a lot because it doesn't catch attention of thieves easily, otherwise i don't even bother with any type of lock... you cant live your life paranoid....

that has nothing to do with my point but yeah, your right.. the other bikes had no type of lock or deterrent.. basiccally either A: someone hates me or B: someone wanted a busa..

Yes, unless your shit is in a garage, consider it gone.. and even IN a garage it could still be jacked..
