Default Going to jennings....A few???????

me and a couple of friends are going to jennings in august to try our hand at road racing and we are taking the school on a friday then i'm guessing we will run sat. or sun. and we are staying until monday for open track day.Was wondering if anybody has done this and if so any suggestions would be great we have already got the list of mods we need to do to our bikes for the track. So it should be a great time either way hopefully i dont lay my bike down then i would but if i do end up likeing it i'll prob. keep a street bike and buy a track bike. Thanks for all input.

LOTS OF FLUIDS! Get lots of rest, it's a LOT more work than you think. Take a shelter like an ez-up, chairs, stands for the bikes, soft tires (like some diablo corsa's, etc). Take it easy, and have fun. I just listed my trailer for sale if you guys are looking.

Wait until the fall or winter. Last time I went in the middle of summer I was absolutely MISERABLE. I swear the temp around Jennings is at least 15* hotter than anywhere else in the summer. I think I only ran 3 sessions that day it was so hot. Never again..........

i just went to jennings 2 weekends ago... its a little hot in the leathers so bring some shade.

i'll go just let me know when your gonna head up there i got an F350 that will hold a couple bikes just supply the straps. my first track day in april was fast and fun... just sign up in novice your first session you will follow an instructor for 5 laps then you free for the rest of the day. just hold a line and be predictible... and i'll pass you up on one wheel

but if your taking the martinelli school you will be very fimilar with the track...you might want to bump it up to intermediate...

Take a BIG FAN, or 2 box fans.
Bring something for shade
Bring WATER WATER WATER WATER and lots of ice
Take your vitamins a week leading up to it
If you run novice don't worry about the kickstand
go ahead and put on new tires before you go, D208's are cheap right now
Take off the mirrors, and anything else that is not needed to run.
Make sure your pads are good or go ahead and change them now.
Full leathers are required and real boots too
real gloves
Take towell's and clean clothes to go home in.
Get some lo adhiesive tape foir the lights
tire pressure guage
$

my first track day-
