well apparently you do if you're a dumbass trying to run from the cops. he must've thought he had a choice and look where it got him. that's the entire point of everyone's argument is how the situation could have been handled differently. if he wasn't stunting in traffic like a retard they wouldn't have tried to pull him over. or since he was busted he could have just stopped and not tried to relive somes dukes of hazard shit and run from the cops.

i don't do stupid shit like that sober or drunk. if you're gonna do stupid shit then be prepared to deal with the consequences. you can't run from the law, at least not every time.

anytime i've ever been pulled over i've always done the right thing, was very courteous and respectful, and took whatever the cop gave me 'cause i was in the wrong in the first place. they didn't just pull me over to bust my balls.

that's the whole point of responsability. what you're willing to accept. to me it's not that big a deal 'cause i don't do anything beyond what i can handle at that point. i don't speed, i don't try any crazy shit on my bike, i know my limits. if anything were to happen i'd fully accept the result of my actions.

if ignorance is bliss you must be one happy guy.

this is so far off topic anyways.

ok I'm going to leave this thread alone because its run its course

but i will leave it at this....

taking responsibility for your actions does not happen after the fact. it happens before you do it in the first place.

just because I'm willing to deal with the consequences does not mean i can come home. put a gun to my wife and kids head and just because I'm willing not to run and just go turn myself in and deal with the "consequences" DOES NOT mean that act was ok to do......

ok so maybe driving home drunk or stunting on roads is not quite putting a gun to there head and pulling the trigger. lets just say at best. i closed my eyes and pointed kinda towards them from across the room. my chances were really low because of this and I'm ok with going to jail for it DOES NOT MEAN I'M TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY ACTIONS or being a man and owning up or what ever the hell you want to call it. THAT ACT WAS THE WRONG FUCKING THING TO DO and should be delt with no matter if i ran or just turned myself in

both are wrong and the pot should not call the kettle black. simple as that.

the lack of mufflers or the all the drinking has killed way to many brain cells if you can't get that.

potato potato potato potato potato potato potato potato potato blop..... (fuck, this damn thing died)

Just to clarify, I don't think it would've been right to shoot the kid, but of course that's thinking with logic in a calm, cool, collected environment during a message board discussion. In real life, if someone is coming directly at me on a motorcycle, I may very well tackle him off or draw my gun on him. When the threat is immediate, a lot of cool, calm, collected thinking goes out the window.

Am I glad the officer didn't shoot? Absolutely. Do I think he should have tackled him? Yes. Do I think the kid should spend some time in county for being stupid? Of course.

Just'a good ol' boys
Never meanin' no harm.
Beats all you never saw
Been in trouble with the law
Since the day they was born

Staightnin' the curves
Flatnin the hills
Someday the mountain might get 'em
But the law never will

Makin' their way
The only way they know how
That's just a little bit more
Than the law will allow.

That's just a little bit more
Than the law will allow.

I'm a good ol' boy
You know my momma loves me
But she don't undestand
They keep a showin my hands and not my face on TV
