Default Waved goodbye to the Magna today

Well, today Eagle One Express showed up at my house and loaded the ol' Honda onto their trailer. The guy in Oregon came through with the cash, so off the bike went to him. I thought I'd miss it more than I do, but I'm really not sad at all it's gone. Hell, I'm more excited about the kickback from dropping the insurance and not having to pay the payments anymore!

Thanks! I'm glad to not own 2 bikes anymore. I couldn't ride them both at the same time, so it was a little overkill.

Oh, and if anybody on here doesn't know, you don't have to go to the DMV to turn in a license plate like you do for a car. The woman looked at me like I was retarded when I tried.

WTH?? You gotta turn in license plates for cars? I didn't know that. I got a plate floating out there then...

Yeah, you might wanna go ahead and check your license status then. They suspend your license for not turning in a plate. Idiot.

Car plates? Florida DMV checks insurance status on any registered vehicles. If there is an insurance lapse for 6 months, bam, suspension. My sister and my roommate both got hit with that shit.

yep, 4 car plates. and what does this have to do with insurance?

as soon as the vehicle is reregistered, the old plate is deactivated in the DMV's system.

Hmmm, maybe it has something to do with them never re-registering the vehicles. I guess it's different if the car goes to the junkyard or turns into a project car etc... The DMV does check your insurance though, and with a 6 months lapse on a registered vehicle, you get suspended. All they know is that you have a plate, they really don't know if you've sold the car or not.
