not so. most of the wear and tear comes from the start anyways. the burn outs' and the launch... if you are going to snap a chain or loose a clutch or break teeth on the gears it would happen at the launch.

I did not say that it was half the wear and tear, just less. If you stop at the 1/8 mile you make 1 or 2 less shifts, are WOT for 2-2.5sec less and only go 114. All that stuff adds up, more so at 210-250 hp like he has than on 100-160 like most bikes.

One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”

Spend the money controlling the horspower you have now. These are all good choices you made:
6" swingarm
2-Stage Lock-Up Clutch
Third an Airshifter
lighter wheels
I would do the airshifter first then the lockup then the boost controller. Who needs lighter tires when you have all that horspower? Your ET for the 1/4 mile will be greatly affected in the first 1/8th mile as someone said before. You donlt gain alot of time accerating the last 1/8th mile. Top end gearing can help with a turbo, they love a load on them. You can break chains and gears at any point on the track, wherever you apply the most horspower is where you break things on a track. It will all come together any way you do it, you just have to do it to get there.
