THere are a couple of folks running around with braggin rights from last night... a R1 and a stock Busa.

Last night was purely a learning experience.
I expect for a decrease in the R/T and 60' times as well as consistency.
The E/T and speed will also be improved.

I had forgotten how fun this is... expect to see me down there often.

Don't let the numbers fool ya... the bike has WAY more potential than what was represented last night.

In all four passes I either smoked the tire or wheelied... it will take practice.

Yes.

Velocity Racing Stage 2 Turbo
Water Injection
Lowered Compression
2-Stage Boost controller (currently set at 5psi and 13psi)
Stock Wheelbase
17/39 gearing (down 1 in the rear)

Last night I kept it on low boost (210hp).
Even then it was challenging to control wheel spin and wheelies.

It just takes a lot of practice Cecil to get it down. One thing to look into is a boost controller, can't remember the name of the top of my head but will get the info. Friend has it on a Busa turbo making over 300 rwhp and said when he put it on it made the bike run smooth and controllable. They cost around $500-600.

cecil 1/8 is so not where your bike will be any good. you have insane top end and you need to be somewhere you will at least have a chance to have both wheels on the ground. you trap in the 1/8 almost what i trap in the 1/4. that probably will trap in the 150ish range in the 1/4 or higher. i would say expect low 9's until you get a little better at the track. just my two cents though.

ohh yea thanks alot for letting everyone know you were going. i wouldn't have wanted to go or anything.

Practice will be key... and I welcome the pointers.

MSBC-1

That's the puppy I believe you are reffering to.
There are a few other items higher on the list.... but that is deffinately something I am considering.

First a 6" swingarm
Second a 2-Stage Lock-Up Clutch
Third an Airshifter
Fourth lighter wheels

It was difficult to apply any power in the 1/8th.
Short wheelbase and top-end gearing... not the best set-up for the 1/8th mile.
I was short shifting around 7K to avoid excessive spin and wheelies.
I'll get better... got to start somewhere.

However, it was still a blast.

oh... and sorry about not inviting everyone last week...

It's on for this week though! Come on out!

i know that was why i told you it wouldn't be really that good for you at sunshine. i guess it works as a good base for 1/8 mile and maybe even launches.

however i hate launching at sunshine with the car when i would race there. i don't really like the condition of sunshines starting line. traction was always so hard to get at sunshine. but that is just my two cents

It is true that his bike will put up some good trap speeds, but for a good 1/4 mile ET you have to get a good 1/8 mile time first. All the time that you can save early in your run will be magnified on the 1/4 mile ET. Another plus if you are learning, making laps, there is less wear and tear at the 1/8 mile.
