Just a reminder... please, everyone - all your gear, all the time.

Just witnessed a serious close call - rider down, no helmet, over 50 mph.

totalled his superhawk (frame even looked tweaked), showed signs of possible brain damage at scene. all he had on was a joe rocket jacket. just got an update from my friend that works in the ER, 2 hours later he's stable, no brain damage, no broken bones. lucky mother fucker.

please guys - all gear, all the time.

i will not get on my bike without my gloves, helmet, jacket, and boots. please do the same. this was a brutal wake up call when i had been starting to get complacent with gloves, and even helmet in low-speed (less than 20 mph, on campus) situations.

I second that. If I hadn't been wearing ALL my gear when I went down, I'd be dead or seriously fucked up.

I agree with you nick about the gear all the time. I went down and if I weren't wearing gloves I would have been seeing bone from what the doc told me. Def somone make this sticky or something.

I dont know how anyone can ride w/o a helmet, its just uncomfortable. My jacket, gloves, and helmet saved a lot of my skin from being on the pavement last friday.

 

yeah i saw that crash! Right off of SR54... Guy got lucky.... WEAR YOUR FUCKING GEAR!!!!!

 

heh, that sucks... 2 similar crashes. this one was in gainesville.
