ok, which is better for me
this will be my second bike i had a gsxr 600 im looking at geting a new bike tomarrow. i wanted to know what u guys think would be better for me. it will be my FIRST 1000 and have only been riding for 1 year. evryone says the gsxr 1 is crazy fast so i was thinking geting a little slower 1000 which one u think between the zx10r and yzf r1. whats gunna keep me out of the hospital lol

YOU are the only thing that can keep you out of the hospital. just because the bike goes that fast...doesnt mean you HAVE to go that fast. If you are smart enough to have a bit of self control then you shouldnt have any problems. however...from the sounds of things you dont trust yourself. maybe you should look into another 600.

I started out on my 929, no problems yet, but I knew the bike was capable of a lot more than I would be able to handle if I wasn't smart enough to know my limits.
I can tell you this - ANY 1000 is going to be shit your pants fast if you've been riding your 600 for long.
My 929 is rated around 145 HP or so and I have yet to use full throttle - these liter bikes your talking about are rated about 180! Not for the faint of heart!
A friend of mine has a 10R, and I will tell you it looks like it takes a lot more skill to ride than my 929. Head shake, etc...

one year of riding = you are NOT ready for a liter bike. ESPECIALLY if you're wondering if you can handle it. i don't know how fast the new gixxer is, but the 10r was faster than the 04 gsxr-1000 and the r1. but hey man, it's your life, just leave me the spare parts in the will.
