i know it's a gixxer trademark, but when are they going to come up with a solid color scheme? i love a bike that can pull of a solid color scheme.

thats all they did was take the 10R and put a 636 motor in it, that and whats the weird foam looking shit by the tank on the 636?

 

Really I have a 10R and not too much of that bike looks the same to me.

 

heck no, the whole tailsection is the exact same thing, same undertail exhaust, same swingarm and same brake and front end set up, only difference is in the upper fairing set up. the 10R's even have that 2 tone paint sceme.

 

while i agree it LOOKS a bit like a 10R, there are some pretty big differences.

- two part gas tank cover- BOOOO
- and the 10R does NOT have underseat exhaust, you're probably thinking of the new R1

i really wish they'd paint all the plastics and just do a one piece tank cover. kwak's styling is great so there's no need for graphics or two paints. it stands on its own with a solid color.

Nope, 10R has a different exhaust, different swingarm, different front end but possibily the sames brakes, however it is likely that they are different too. They are both kawasaki's so they are going to LOOK simular to someone that doesn't see them all the time.

 

well the gsx-r does come in solid colors, unless you mean the frame being the same color too... i personally think it needs some contrast. But I've seen a fair share of the new gixxers with solid silver and a couple with solid gunmetal. the frames of both are black and they look pretty decent.... I prefer some sort of graphics though




As far as the 2005 model, the exhaust is kinda funky, and the only real cosmetic improvement in my opinion is the tail section. But sounds to me like the performance will be impressive.

 

now i know why they put graphics on it... that thing is fugly (my apologies to anyone with a solid color gixxer )
