Here's a tip....High beams on in day time, and your choice to go low beam at night.

This will help you to be more visible to the blind cagers out there that normally will not pay any attention with your lowbeams on.

HELL YEAH!
Congratulations man. I'm a new rider too. I just recently got my 04 Gixxer 600.

My first impressions was "Is this damn thing supposed to be this fast, WTF?!?!". And you'll notice that speeds seem faster than in a car. 40mph on a bike, seems like interstate speed in a car. And I also noticed how friggin hot I was sitting in traffic wearing full Joe Rocket gear. HOT!!! And even though my helmet has a shield, I don't think I'll ever keep it down. That might just be me though.

The MSF course will teach you a lot. I paid $225 for mine at this place called MRA. I like this place and recommend it because they will work with you if you mess up. I showed I was a good rider, and my nerves got the best of me in the quick stop, I went to fast and locked the front up and laid it down going 15-20mph. They told me to come back a few days later and retake the final evaluation and I passed like nothing. Got my endorsement, and I'm loving it.

Sadly we live in Florida, and most people can't drive for dick. So be careful, I have had some close calls. These people aren't kidding about old people.

And I know you're going to hit the throttle hard, it's impossible to resist when you're alone on a long straight. Just know when enough is enough.

Take Care!

Yeah well I went out for the first real road ride Thursday night. First over to watch the hockey game at a buds house, then up Dale Mabry to bearss, over to 275, down through downtown to channelside and over to ybor, then back kennedy to dale and up. Had a blast. Rolled through first, second, and third once right before I got home - like WHOA!!! This could get addicting
