i just got brand new dunlop 208's and it came out to be around 300 for everything and the second time ive been out i picked up a freaking nail..........i can't believe it....im in shock and left with no words... .i got them from elite performance...does any one know if thell help me out or with they charge me again for another one............

 

Damn...that sucks. But I know all about that shit. I got two nails in my back tire within a 3 month period. The first nail I got plugged at RTM. They didnt really wanna do it, but they hooked me up anyways. They told me it wasnt "safe". Since when are sportbikes safe anyway? I did 160+ mph on it, and it was all good.

BTW, $300 for a set of 208's? Hot damn...thats just plain ole crazy man...

208's suck in my opinion, and $300 for them is insane-o.

Pirelli Diablo's....badass tires....and I think they are like $250 front and rear. (Barney's Brandon)

And more than likely, they will charge you for another tire. Shops dont usually warranty nails.

If want a quick fix, thats cheap and fast...just go to Discount Auto and get a plug and do it your self. My cousin, Chode, put a nail in his tire and he got a plug from discount auto...it held up great, no leaks. He road all the way from orlando to tampa...and when he got here he did a shit load of wheelies and a long burn out...and the plug still held up.

 

that sucks, when my friend brought his buell they offered him a tire and wheel package, covering nails and his rim and shit, he's gotten 5 new rears and 3 new fronts in the past 6 monthes b/c he works in a construction site, no charge what so ever

i was on 19 and my friend in front of me barelly missed a huge board and i had no time to react and hit the board and i was srewed.the 300 included mounting and balancing and everthing..i thoughit was an ok price.i knew a guy who paid like 190 each for each.......o well i ended up paying for another tire......o well right?

 

man you can patch those but from the inside only!

but a plug is a recipe for disaster and i cant recomd more stronglt against it. the reason i know is i did it and i was heading over to my girls house down ulmerton all the sudden my ass end got all squirlly at like 65 ish i almost shit myself cause it was instantly flat like on the rim flat and the slower i went the more unstable it was by the time i stopped her the tire was completely off the rim and i was completely stressed i thought i was doing some asphalt surfing for sure. and that guy that said since when are sports bikes safe ....man there not but there is no need to make it worse life is cool stick around for a little bit.

 

At RTM, my friend got front and back Diablo's put on his 929RR (190 in the back), all for $200. I can't believe you got charged that much. That's just insane.
