I know someone, who's dad is one of the top bike cops in the HCSD. Well, his dad is repairing a ZX-9R for the department. They apparently highered a former superbike racer, with like 30 years of experience on bikes, to use the Ninja to chase down/get the tags of bikes and really fast cars who run. I guess they have finally gotten tired of not being able to do shit about Tampa's bike "problem". I'm just warning everyone, this info in concrete. I don't know when the program will start, but i'll try and find out as much as possible. Be Safe.

I don't think you need a radar gun to tell if something is 100+, which is slow to some (all?) of us. BTW, I'm pretty sure it's blue. We all know blue is faster, right? (that's an ongoing joke on another bike site, incase you're wondering)

ha, ya i know. I told my friend basically the same thing. Wouldn't it be tight to have a Hillsborough county paint job on your superbike, custom suit, gloves, helmet, etc..., and just be able to do anyfuckingthing you wanted? You could ride, and screw around on your bike all day, and get paid for it. I'd be a bike cop if i didn't dislike cops

 

i gotta imagine that 8 hours a day on a sport bike would probably get pretty uncomfortable though. and i wonder why they went with a 9R, they shoulda got the new 10R. not much would get away from that. at least they got a kawa!

 

actually they would need a radar or laser gun in order to charge u with speeding, 90% of the time i they "pace" you, and u brin git to court u will get out of it. They only thing they could get u for are violations like wreckless driving, endangerment (wheelies and stunts), running redlinghts, stop signs, improper starts, or racing. they should have gotten a 10R but i garuntee you they are taking a bike they confiscated and turning it into a police issue vehicle

 

That means you can go offroad to ditch them... hehe bring out the 4runner
