Project begins
So i brought Blackeclpses '93 gsx-r 750. Obviously knowing it needs a lot of work. So first thing i did was i took off the front fairings, the lowers are the correct fairings for the bike but the uppers were from a CBR, along w/ the headlight. So i took it all off and i rigged up 2 foglights for right now until i get my new parts which i will list later. I than fixed the seats (they weren't secured all the way. The next task was to break the bead on the front tire to put a new vavle stem in (took about 15 mins). I than wired the fan to my ignition so when i turn it on my fan runs all the time b/c the relay on the fan went bad so the bike would overheat if it was sitting still. I also went and rearwired the gauge cluster and the rear brake b/c they had a bad short in it. I than took care of the brakes, i replaced the brake lines w/ steel braided, put some new pads and bleed them all. I also found out some interesting things about the motor. According to my friend who is a bike mechanic they are full mechanical racing carbs that run about 600-800 at the track. Also the bike has some high compression pistons. The only other thing i did was take some chrome polish to the polished frame to get out oxidization

Now the good part, what i have ordered. I ordered brand new primered lowers and uppers from a '95 gsx-r 750 and a brand new headlight and all the mounting brackets. i also ordered a brand new seats. I am going to paint the whole bike candy apple red and re-paint the block gloss black to help contrast w/ the polished crank covers and polished frame.

I've got an interesting Carbon Fiber windscreen for you to look at. Its a transparent red candy so you can still see the CF weave.

yeah jimmy called my later that day, i actually still might pick up his bike. Since than i replaced my clutch, throttle and speedo cables, i also got a new chain, and ordered some vortex sprockets (i'll let u in on my gearing later). I talked to my friend who does customizing and i have this 929 CBR headlight still and he wants to make a custom bracket and mold my new uppers to fit the CBR headlight just to make it unique, so i will see how that comes out. i also cleaned my K&N filters which were dirty has hell. i will take some pictures of it today and post it up.
