You'll have *WAY* better luck with financing if you go through a credit union. I couldn't even get a $2500 loan for some piece of crap Honda Shadow a while back, but then I tried GTE credit union and they financed my '01 Magna for me no problem. GTE, Macdill, and Pinellas County Teachers are all good places to get loans are exceptionally good rates. Try 'em out.

Im going to use the IBM credit union. Since i work there, they might give me money?

I just went to my bank and told them that I needed a motorcycle loan for 8,000. Then I told them that I would put 1000 down, so they gave me a check for 8,000 to get the bike, so I went down and gave them the check and rode the bike home. The best thing that I have ever done. You have to get one "jabtay"

my credit union has a low of 7% for motorcycle financing, 4.25% on harley bikes. what a load of crap!!! i was hoping to pay down $4k and finance the other $4K over 36 months. i want payments less than $150 a month, preferably closer to $120/ month.
i guess i'll actually have to go speak with my credit union.
tribus, how could you get $148/month on $7K financed? my credit is great, but that equates to a 1.00% rate.
