I think the best part was the model on their little multi-screen display that loren found

I was pretty disappointed with the cars myself...the electronic driving aid stuff was pretty impressive, I put a bit of effort into upsetting the car to no avail (didn't try anything too agressive, definitely heavy on braking and the gas though), it dealt with actions which would've sent my car plowing through the cones or spinning off some where pretty well. Of course, that made it a bit un-fun to drive, as did the auto...I've been spoiled by driving a standard transmission.

The AMG, i was completely unimpressed with, definitely didn't sell that car to me...my ride along with bob in his M3 was far better. The AMG course was two straights connected by a 180 degree sweeper....the driver didn't even try to do anything fun on the turn. The amg did have some good brakes and good acceleration, but so does the bmw.

In the end, i think the best part of their event was the free food. For those going on sunday, don't even bother with the wet course, stick to the mini-autocross...that was at least kinda fun.

overall i thought the event was kinda fun.. but if you go with a bunch of autocrossing buddies, the mini-autocross becomes more fun

especially when a guy with a certain body rollin' integra takes out about 8 cones on his last run

All you had to do to have a better time in the cars was press the button that had the black tape over it....and voila!! no traction control!!! I enjoyed myself...beat on some cars I would never own...got a super nice massage from the pimp alcantara massage chairs, ate some tasty food...drank enough powerade to hydrate a small army....got some cool stuff to take home.

The mr2 doesn't count, it's your daily driver.

I gotta get me one of them instructor jobs. Jesse must have gotten 100 runs in. The best was in the M coupe though. I think the M is for Mower as much grass got cut on that run.

That wasn't me!!!

LOL, that was our event coordinator, Neal Tovsen, SUV-ETR here on TR.

My run was clean, but slow. I was in the car when Neal put the car into the grass, so I decided the "floor it and steer" method might not be the "Best" way around the course.
