Default Electric Go-Cart Night - 7/22/10

OK my fellow TR racers. Up for a little competitive wheel to wheel action like you could never dream of engaging in with your road car? Or how about some friendly competition with your fellow racer, friend or nemisis in a set of fairly well matched racing machines?

Well, come on down thursday evening and join us for an evening of some relatively safe tire sqealing fun.

For those of you who are not familiar with the new track in St Pete, here is some info about the place . . .

Tampa Bay Grand Prix | European-Style Indoor Go Karts

And some opinions from myself and my fellow Tampa Racers on what a blast this place is can be found on our previous thread about the subject.

https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/a...-race-lol.html

I'll plan on getting there around 7ish and trying to get in 2 or 3 runs. After that we'll cruise down to Quaker State & Lube for some celebratory drinks and perhaps a bite to eat as well.

Should be some interesting cars we can check out while we are there since the new Thursday meet at QSL has been gaining popularity and has been relatively retarded-ricer free.

It should be a fun and exciting evening for all, so who's game?

Been there few weeks ago, and its really nice inside and outside. They have improved it 100000X more than when they had it on us19.

LOL, so true, the place on US19 was a dump and this new setup is certainly world class.

If the wait is long enough between runs perhaps even a pool game may be an option.

The 4-5 minutes feels like 1 minute of seat time. It would be sweet to work there n get 50 laps at a time for free. It is fun but I cant justify the cost to fun ratio.

The cost/time ratio is much cheaper than auto-x, but I can understand that not everyone has the desposable income for such things.

For the record, those guys in the last race you did are idiots. They drove like that on purpose because they can't act mature and hold some form of hate against me, specifically.

Yeah, some of my friends didn't like getting blocked in by them, too bad I didn't get a chance to run across them.

I at least got a 19.01 this time aroundm still need to trim off a few more tenths though. Got to take the twisties more conservatively to get a better time but its so much more fun to slide around out there, lol.

I just saw you leave as I walked in the door tonight. Noticed the car. I decided to race. First kart understeered but I managed a 18.29 best with a 18.86 avg. I was satisfied. I raced again and ran 17.77 with an 18.20 avg. The kart handled like shit also but I made it up on the straight.

So no more trying this small meet?
