Default A picture says a thousand words . . .

While stacking cones I thought that this particular view of the exit of the 7/14 FSF SCCA auto-x hairpin was worth photographing.

There are certainly a variety of exit paths from that turn where people left their mark.

I have to say that's a nice bit of photography. It describes the courses I am used to running at FSF to a TEE.

Sorry I missed it.

The FF drifter was lovin that hairpin today, especially on my last fun run.
I just had to swing it wide cut the wheel and the tail end just rotated around and I found myself pointed straight for the next 2 boxes.

I did it to help my rear end come around fast in a tight corner.

I did twice during my fun runs to see if I could negotiate the hairpin faster than I could in a wider controlled turn.

Other people might have just done it for fun.

the way that hairping was setup, it was best to be slow in (with an early apex) and accelerate out ...
