A reminder to corner workers
Those lug nuts pictured are not the correct pieces for diamond racing wheels. Diamond can change the taper of the hole but thats a special order. I have three sets & it is very obvious when you use oe or incorrect lugs that only contact one spot on the wheel.
Ouch.
speaking of safety we really need to move our grid and the start of our paddock back away from the finish line. people were trying to back up to get out of line or switch lanes and the cars coming out of the finish lane were almost on top of them.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

What concerns me about the photo of the lug nuts is that the bottom of 3 of these not are at the same distance from the hub.
One appears to have bottomed out on the hub itself (that does wonders for having a proper torque setting on that nut).
The driver had to have felt some severe vibrations prior to the wheel separating from the car.
