Register now for the SCCA Sweat-Your-Butt-Off-O-Cross! Registration closes July 2nd!
Central Florida SCCA April Autocross, Registration Deadline July 2nd!
West Coast Central Florida Region SCCA presents...
at the Hernando County/Brooksville Airport...
Our July points event! It's way too hot to do a two-day event, so we're having our points event on Saturday, July 11th.
To register, head over to DLB Racing (Link Here: Log In) before July 2nd, and get signed up. This link should take you directly to the registration page... If not, look for the July events on the calendar.
Registration closes at midnight July 2nd. Registration for drivers is now online and prepay only. Everyone entering the site, including guests (non-drivers), must be on the list by the deadline. Contact Albert with the full names of guests who are most likely to attend with you (his email address is in the flyer). Also, anyone that has a credit for a free event (a punch card, credit from a previous event, etc) will need to email Albert to be added to the list. Drivers will be limited to 55 and guests will be limited to a maximum of 20 per day.
Lately we've been having courses with lap times between 40-50 seconds. Depending on the number of drivers, we will get anywhere between 6 and 10 runs. If you have not been out, the runway is large and paved with grippy concrete. We highly recommend that you read the Event Flyer (http://dlbracing.com/download.filx?FileID=953).
Check out the 2009 Central Florida Solo II Schedule.
See you out there!

I want to suggest something for this event.
On Mother's Day (the last SCCA event in Brooksville), we extended the 1st round and eliminated the 2nd Round. This was done because it was Mother's Day, so we could get done earlier. I like this idea, because we got 8 runs in a row, and were cleaned up and out of there around 1:30. The 2nd round is gonna be hot as balls, and drivers might not want to stay.
Just a suggestion.
Im registered. I'll see you all there.

That's the way we have always done it. We usually have a practice session after lunch, but you don't have to stay for that.
We got
8 runs in Feb
7 runs in March
6 runs in April
All morning session events, and then practice in the afternoon.
I can't even remember the last time we did a 2 round competition event, it's been a couple years.

I think a few people like the method you are describing, so you can bring it up to Albert and we can vote on it at the morning meeting.
