Last FAST event of the 2009 competition year
Actually, the correct spelling is 'Newbie.' Perhaps that is what has you confused. If you find the moniker 'Newbie' offensive, you may be free to use one of the common variants: "newb", "nub", "nooblet", "n00blet." What ever you choose... yes John.. you are indeed a TBR one!

Yeah John,
Newb can be used in many different forms, here it was used as a newb to the internet and phpBB message boards. In reality you were just blind and missed the video link post or too lazy to read every post in this thread
Either way it makes you look like a NEWB!!!!!

BTW, I wasn't lazy, I just wanted to know if anyone other than Wheeler caught a video of the kart.
Going to Hungry Harry's anytime soon?
Dang John.. we posted at the exact same minute! Hope my efforts at being a Smart A** were not lost!
Don't forget to call me for the next electric cart Grand Prix!! Scott

Being as I'm the one that told you it was okay to hang the tail out some... I guess I should be the one to tell you that you do need to back off. Oversteering around that circle was natural for a lot of the RWD cars, and spinning there was not uncommon. Not a huge deal. Trying to "combo" the circle with the S-turn that follows it, however, is completely NOT autocross, and you screwed that up more times than you got it right, spinning at least twice there, and at least once in the circle.
There's a fuzzy line in there somewhere between what's acceptable and what's not... you were way beyond it.
In short: It's not drift practice, it's autocross.
Whether you thought you disrupted the event or not... you did. Because you were spinning out frequently enough that the starter had to wait for you to finish playing before he could start the next car. It only adds up to 10-15 seconds per run, but if everyone did it, that would be an hour added to our day, or 2 less runs for everybody. Obviously, we don't want everyone to do that and screw up the works, which is why we're calling you out.

Wasn't there but Loren I like how you stated this and I'm glad to see the good response from the other party.
See some of you Sunday at the BMW event.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Been looking for karting places for a while and have only found Tampa GP which isn't that great.

Yeah, its the tampa gp. Its better when a group goes and does the grand prix package. Anyway, Scott, I will invite you next time only if you promise to come with me to a real track and run my shifter! That's of course if you're not too scared! LOL

We had a bit of trouble laying down the power last weekend.... Wheels and tires will be upgraded tomorrow. Hope they make a difference in grip. My guess is they might!

NEVER underestimate how well Lot's of sticky rubber can hide driver incompetence!
Testing them at Brooksville this weekend. Mary is going to grow some guns turning them!
