Yes those French cars Like Peugeot and Citroen have NO experience building Rally and racing cars ehh..

I though Peug just came in 2nd right behind Audi in the last 24 hour race.

The Citroen DS 21 won the Paris to Dalhcar ( spelling) rally back in the 70s.

I really dont know the Mopar cars. I drive alot of rentals and the Caliber is crap. The cobalts are OK.. And most of the Jap cars are better. My Fav so far is the Ford 500, but that is based off the Volvo chassis.

The Schedule is up for Lemons.. April and Sept. in NC.. and 2 in Tx.

So ill start be getting started on the car in Jan.. I already have a motor at Toms shop that needs to be gone through. Then we need to swap.

This is not a snide comment , but if any of you guys want to put together a Mopar car. That be great. It be nice to bring up a team of 4 to 6 cars from FL..

If anyone is looking to build a Lemon, sage advice it to start with a very popular car. Not just because they're cheap and parts are plentiful in the salvage yards, but because there are likely to be half a dozen teams AT the race with parts that you might need.

Show up in an old Peugot, and you might win the Index of Effluency and get lots of attention... but if you break, you're screwed.

Show up in a Honda Civic, or an BMW 325 or a Neon or a Fox Mustang. Something that's common AT the Lemons races. Unless you're bringing a complete parts car, you really don't want to be in a "unique" Lemon.

Yeah, No Problem Raceway in LA is a neat little track. Went there for One Lap 2008, but I didn't drive that day.

Funds permitting, I'll be begging rides for the two CMP races and NPR. (or, if Barry gets the trash truck up and running, maybe I won't have to beg so much)

I already have a "good" engine with a freshly rebuilt head that was given to me. FREE. It has a bent valve due to a piston coming apart in the engine. So the plan is to pull a valve or 2 out of the old head. Get some lapping compound and replace the valve.. New head gasket, Move the good parts over from the old engine and we should be good to go.

We should start up our team Forum again. I need to talk to the team and get an idea of who wants to do what race. the LA one would also be cool.
I do need to do one race with all BMW CCA members so we can do an article for the Roudel Mag. I am guessing the 1st CMP race will be the Old team and we can go from there.

I'm in barry, If you want since it's just time, (no materials) we can do a complete 3 angle on that head. no reason to cheap out when it's just our time and we have plenty of that. also I think I "found" some old inverted Bilstein Damper inserts for the front (which I can rebuild). anything has to be better then the Monroe sensajunks. but if we can just tweak the already good handling Trash truck and get a reliable engine. we should be a serious contender in the future.
