Right. They were both very close. I was no longer talking about either of them. I was referring to Mark L, who was driving somebody's Porsche Boxster S. Mark was 1.4 (or so) seconds off of Danny.

What tires were Danny and John running? Just out of curiosity.

 

Sorry, thought you were talking about John when you mentioned "hired gun, spinning out" (which he did on his first run, then grinded the gears getting it back into gear. I did mention that he was in my car, didn't I?)

John was on very worn out Avon Tech R tires. Not sure what Danny was running.

John Thomas is just an awesome driver.
He was in a borrowed car, with old tires, in the morning (slippery) heat.
And that first run, even with the spin, bested the Prius

Congrats to Rosko for his 2nd place finish his first time out in the new RX-8. That little Civic that took the open class is really earning my respect.
