Default BMW Car Controle Clinic April 22nd.

We have 8 more spots open for the Car Controle Clinic April 22nd.

Its designed for new drivers, But with the Skid pad and auto X style afternoon set up. Its probably worth it for any one that need to work on getting the car sideways to the basics of hand positioning on the wheel.

See,,, http://www.fscbmwcca.org/fsc_042107.htm
for details.

Note: The instructors I have been in contact with. I will PM you all the data as soon as I get it. You can get the basics off the link above. Your welcome to join the class at Reeves on Sat if you wish. But its optional. Sun is the actual event where your services are needed.

Hey, Barry. Got the info email. May try to attend the class just to get a better handle on what we're doing and what the students have been told in class.

I see we're running 3 exercises, I presume 3 groups... how many students will we have? How many students per instructor? I just want to mentally prepare myself for how much car-hopping I'll be doing!

Hi Loren

Currently we have 15 instructors and 32 drivers. We will take up to 40 drivers. So 3 groups 5 instructors 12 ish cars.

We are planning to have the instructors move with the students this time. Last year the drivers that did the skidpad were getting dizzy from all the spinning. So this time all the instructors will get to do all the exercises. Plus we are leaving time to sit and talk for a few min before jumping cars.. ( thats the plan.. i think it will work out ).

Since it takes time to wet down the area. The skid pad will only be run after lunch. Lunch will be provided, its salads and pizza ( like red baron ish )

Let me know if there are any other Questions.

ALSO Al G are you going to be there?

Sounds like you've got everything well-planned. Should be a good time, and very worthwhile for the students.

Looks like my schedule opened up for this weekend. I'm not leaving till next weekend. if you need help, I spent over 5 years autocrossing BMWs

Tell me if you need an instructor. helper or otherwise. I have some tires I need to burn off.

Yes and Yes. We are at 15 instructors, so if there are any No shows, we can use a few extra.

And yes we always can use helpers. The afternoon will be Auto X type courses with an open break around lunch for instructors to take students out for drives.

If you can make it I would appreciate any extra help. Just give me an Email so I can send you the details/ schedule/.

THanks

Barry

Not to be a dick, but there's no 'e' in 'control'.

I think it is the preferred Canadian Spelling, like Colour, Cheque, or Shoppe.
I think it's going to catch on.
You'd spell it that way if you had to get your Cossie parts through Canadia.

This is going to be one long day but honestly when you see all the teens actually smiling at the end, its worth it.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Our programmers must be from Canada. Because our software is a Cotrole Center. So I was going from that.. I can change..

But my new R compounds are Tyres.. from England..
