help me choose a tire
You should get Michelin Blizzaks with Spikes. With the spikes you will pick up a theoretical increase in your coefficient of friction of the equivelant of going from a 205 to a 445. That would be sick!!!
Go with the Hancooks.

should i go with a 225/46/16 hankook rs2 z212($88/tire at edgeracing) or 215/45/16 hankook($85/tire) or a 215/45/16 azenis rt-615 ($98/tire)?
they're going on an sts subaru 2.5rs. for the past few years i've been using 215/45/16 azenis rt-215's. reportedly the kook's have a softer sidewall but slightly higher lateral grip.

I just returned from Deal's Gap, and I must say that I am impressed with how well the hankooks (225/45/16) held up. On Sunday morning I got to run over 15 miles of the Gap, uninterrupted. The last 4 miles on the way out, then all the way back. The tires held up quite well, and I hammered them hard. They started to give up a little near the end, but what do you expect after 400+ turns?
Yep. There was one point on Saturday morning when I was running in the rain when the tail began to slip. I was accelerating with one rear tire on the painted double-yellow line. Had I lifted then, I would have been in the trees.
