I haven't had to do that yet, but whatever you do don't put the inserts in the dryer.

I wipe the shell off with a rag before I leave in the morning for an event... that's about it so far. Then again, it hasn't even seen a year's worth of use yet, and I only use it once or twice a month.

I empty about a half a can of lysol into the interior after each event.
OK not half a can, but I douse it well and let it air out on the kitchen table for a few days.
I could care less about the outside; chicks did scars.
